Potbelly Sandwich Works began in a small antique store in the late 70's. The couple that owned the store decided to serve hot, thick sub sandwiches to their customers who soon started visiting more to eat the food than to purchase old artifacts. One of their customers loved the food and ambiance and saw the potential for a new restaurant concept. In 1996, that customer opened a second store, then a third. Today, Potbelly Sandwich Works has over 60 stores and is opening more nationwide every month. And, as long as people enjoy good food, served in a warm, fun atmosphere by caring, hardworking staff, the dynamic growth of Potbelly's seems assured.

What's important here? The food? Of course. The atmosphere? Definitely. But, it's the people that are the true brand ambassadors. Potbelly's people are strikingly committed to uphold stringent quality standards while making sure that customers have a fun, upbeat experience each time they stop by.
